GTX 960 sli or a single GTX 970

I already have a 960 that i got when i RMA'd my GTX 660, so with the 960 i have only costing me 180 bucks where i live, would it be worth it? keep in mind its only costing me the price of the single 960 as i never paid for the other one.

No. A single 970 will easily beat a SLI 960 no problem.

For the price point, get a single RX 480. It is 970 performance for 200 bucks. I reccomemd you wait for it.

well actually i know for a fact that 960's in sli is closer to the 980 and is better than a single 970 I just have other money matters to worry about, and id rather not go AMD as I've had nothing but problems with them in the past

That's when SLI scaling is good, which is not always the case, have in mind that if you got a 2GB 960 then you'll be limited by that, waiting for the RX 480 would be the wiser choice right now.

That's when SLI scaling is good, which is not always the case, have in mind that if you got a 2GB 960 then you'll be limited by that, waiting for the RX 480 would be the wiser choice right now.

I have a 4 gb and I know the downsides of sli as well as I'm using a pair of 660's in another rig but if the RX 480 is that much better I might consider it
