Since the 900s came out i got a gtx 960 strix at the time was a cheap upgrade since my old card was failing later i got another 960(same cards we got them both at the same time.) from a friend upgrading to a 980ti..so i had them in SLI now.

thing is i noticed a website that tests your monitor said my refresh rate was at 60..i have 144hz selecting both in Nvidia control panel and windows display adapter..games even show at 144hz for vsync if i turn that on.

my monitor is a BenQ XL2420Z(got monitor on sale wanted for 3D..) i used the DVI cable that came in the box with the monitor.

so my question is am i running at 144hz or not..well at least over 60hz.. :)

can the card run 144hz? is it some weird error? or?

Individual cards should handle 144Hz just fine, but if you want over 60Hz I highly recommend switching to DP. Whether or not SLI on certain games supports 144Hz is another issue, though most should be fine (http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_960_SLI/1.html)

If you are on windows 7, or using an older version of Chrome, the UFO Test will show 60hz, it did for me on 7, even though it was set to 144hz. If you go into the Nvidia control panel and it says 144hz, then you are running that, but games may have the option to change this.
