gtx 960 vs 770

Hi i am upgrading my portable pc build, (a cheaper build that I take with me when i travel) and i have a question. my current specs are a 750ti, i3 4350,h81m-p33 mobo, 500gb 7200rpm had. I'm upgrading my 750ti for around $100. i found a listing for a new gtx 960 for $95 free shipping but also a new gtx 770 for $90. all the reviews I've read say that the 770 just barely out performs the 960 but is it worth getting the 960 for perhaps increased driver support to last longer?or would the 770 be my best bet?would there also perhaps be a team red solution thats better? also would you expect that the i3 4350 will be bottlenecking any of these cards?

I would say that considering that the GTX 960 is from newer architecture, it is more likely to perform smoother with more modern games.
