Yes I know this has been asked before but for some reason all the benchmarks people post seem fake to me.
I currently have a GTX 750 SuperClocked 2GB card and it can run GTA V and Tomb Raider 2013 in 5760x1080 without any lag. I don't really tinker with the graphic settings, I just leave them as they are. They look fine to me, in fact I can't tell the difference between medium and high settings.

So if my 750 can run triple displays fine, would you recommend the 960 or 970? I don't play games on max settings, and I am perfectly fine with medium settings because I can't tell the difference. I also never have AA on.
If the game does not support 5760x1080, then I just run it in 1080p.

I also can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps, but I don't mind if I don't get 60fps. Just don't have noticeable lag.

So a lot of people also say that more VRam is better, well I mean I do have 2GB and it seems to run fine. Maybe I'm just weird but 4GB of vram doesn't sound like it'll benefit me at all.

And even better, people say the 750 can't run games smoothly, well apparently mine can and it runs all the games I've played perfectly fine. I just don't tinker with the graphics settings.

So is 960 fine for me? Cause it sounds like it's more than enough.

Well I played TR at 5760x1080 without lag. I cant really tell if the graphics are high or low so I guess it doesn't matter to me if I play at low or high.

Okay so after doing a quick test, I loaded up the game on 1080p with maxed out settings on my 750 2GB card.
20fps? Nope. I didnt have a exact fps counter but I felt no lag whatsoever. Everything went smoothly. I'll test 5760 tomorrow on max.
I feel like I should get about 2-3x the performance compared to benchmarks. So a 970 could probably power 4k at high with 60fps 😛

The 960 manages 36.5 fps and the 760 just 30.2 fps ..... at 1080p, you are at 3 x that resolution.

At 4k 60 fps is a fantasy .... the 760 gets 20.3 fps, the 970 just 36 fps .... you'd need two 970s to break 60 fps

The 750 Ti is about 2/3 as fast as the 760, 750 slightly less....wud get ya about 12 fps at 4k.

That moment when benchmark gives 1.2 FPS, while actually playing the game I get at least 20 fps.
There you have it, I'll expect way better performance than what benchmarks say.

So if I can get at least 30fps with the 960, I'll definitely get a smooth 60fps no problem.

The 1.2 FPS in the benchmark was with max settings 5760x1080.

I have an r9 270 (not x, regular 270) and just turn off AA and the hair tesselation and I get constant 60 fps at full 1080. 960 is slightly faster then that, but I have no idea what running multimonitor will do to your fps. Idk if I'd get a 970 though, $300 is a lot for a card. I got my r9 270 on sale for like half that and it's plenty fast, just turn off AA.

Okay I have finally ran the game with a FPS counter on, and with 1080p maxed out settings. With AA on of course, I average 29 FPS. Doesn't really drop or go up, just kind of stays at 28-30 FPS.

Guess I really cant tell the difference between 30 and 60fps...

Okay so now I'm going to ask whether the 960 or 970 is better for me? On a budget also. I dont need anything more than 30fps in benchmarks, since in reality I'll get about double the performance.
