GTX 960 vs PowerColor PCS+ Radeon R9 390 DirectX 12 AXR9 390 8GBD5-PPDHE 8GB

I want to get a new video card and Newegg has a deal on the Radeon R9 390 right now and my other option was a GTX 960, i am not educated enough to know which is the better buy. answer fast if you can, not sure how long the deal lasts. Thank you!

The R9 390 is significantly better, BUT within a month AMD is releasing their new Rx 480, which will be significantly cooler, it will outperform the R9 390 (possibly by a large margin), and it will cost 200$. Unless you can get the R9 390 for less than 200$ I'd advise waiting.

You missed the deal for the 970 for 210$ by about 4 days. The 390 is for 230$ is a decent deal
