GTX 960m(4GB) vs GTX 965m (2GB)

Hi guys, I've purchased an Acer nitro black edition 17 inch laptop, it took me a LONG time but this laptop is the best for the price in my country(Netherlands, 1.3k euros). I'm just wondering, there's an MSI laptop for a 100 euros more, but has 965m(2gb). IMO, they should perform equally but still wanted to ask it, is there a big difference between those gpus?

The 965M has more cores, and it is based off of the same core as the 980m, just with more cores disabled. It is more powerful, but I fear the 2GB vram might hold it back later in life.

Though you can get more details if you type just one of the gpus and compare yourself. I dont think there is going to be much difference. 2gb might cause problem in future games.

The gpu/cpuboss websites aren't always incredibly accurate, and I would trust the specs more than benchmarks with nothing behind them. the 965 has 60% more cores than the 960M, and all they give it is a "too close to call"... not very accurate
