Gtx 965m frame drop problem

Hi ive been having frame drop problems on all games like black ops 1,2,3, rocket league, and even star wars battlefront 2 the one before the reboot. My cpu rarely goes over 30 percent and my temperatures are 80 degrees Celsius.
My pc specs (laptop)
Gtx 965m
Intel core i7 4720hq
16 gigabytes of RAM/memory
1 tb hdd

80 degrees celsius is the danger zone, especially for a laptop. Your laptop is overheating so it's probably throttling itself down to prevent damage and thus dropping frames.

Ok so I bought a cooling pad to keep temps down. Also do you have an ideas on how to clean the laptop it voids the warranty if I open it it is an msi ge72 apache 2qe. Thank you for your answer

The laptop is 2 and a half months old so I don't know how I could have gotten much dust in it

Update I don't think it is a heating problem as the temps of the gpu an cpu were at >50 degrees and I still get the frame drops, also these problems started happening after upgrading to windows 10

Seems that it's related to Windows 10. So the solution could be in downgrading to Windows 8 or 7. That's up to you.
Another option would be to contact msi & tell them about your problem.
