GTX 965m or GTX 960m

Hello everyone,

I want to buy an laptop. I have chosen MSI GE70 2QE APACHE PRO and GE62 2QE APACHE but i am confused which one should i take. I want suggestions.

Everything between the 2 are same except one is using GTX 960M and 17 inch. the other is GTX 965M and 15 inch. I wanted to get the bigger screen but don't want to compromise on the quality if there is much difference. The price difference is approx $100.

Please help.

Which one is more expensive? If it's the bigger screen one that is more expensive, go for the 965M.

The smaller screen one is more expensive. 15 inch with a GTX 965M..

The 965M is a better card than the 960M. It has an extra 1GB of VRAM and a wider memory bus, 192 bit rather than 128 bit. This makes it perform much better at 1080p than it's 2GB counterpart. I would still go for that one.

The 965m is better as you know now but I think you should also know that the ge62/72 have much better cooling than than the ge60/70 as the have dual fans and back vents compared to ge60/70 single fan. If you have not looked into them you should as ge60/70 tends to be CPU and GPU in the 90°C while the ge62 is more like CPU 80°C and GPU 70°C even 60°C in some games. So would deffiently take the ge62 .
