Hello....as you see in post name.....i choosing between GTX 970 2-Way SLI vs. GTX 980ti,its going be paired with an i5-4690k/i7-4790k and 16 gigs of RAM.

Which option is better?? 970 SLI or single 980ti??

If you wanna play at least on 1440p.

Yes, looking at your budget and your current PSU, 2xGTX970 is excellent for 1440p @60fps.
I think GTX980Ti is also not a bad option.

2xGTX970 is faster (10% or so) but consumes quite more power than a single GTX980Ti.
SLI has it's potential problems, I have seen no issues yet on GTX970s on SLI but... according to previous SLI experience...well...SLI was/is not problem free.
GTX970s on SLI are limited by the 3.5GB VRAM, this should not be a big deal for most games especially @1440p.

A single GTX980Ti is totally free from SLI potential problems, only 10% slower compared to 2xGTX970, has 6GB VRAM (more freedom) but slightly less cost...

f you don't have a 970 right now, just go for the single TI.

Especially at lower resolution, the TI is going to give you a more stable framerate.

Still, two 970 in SLI are faster than a TI. It's your choice at this point, however I would take the TI if was you.

Single 980 ti, it's just unquestionable, single GPU aways better than dual GPU, less issues, less heat, less power consumption.

Unless, of course, as redgarl said, you have a single 970 and just want to add another. And you have the power supply to handle sli'ed 970's.

2xGTX970 SLI is around 10% faster than a single GTX980Ti but limited with the 3.5GB VRAM, could suffer from all SLI issues and consumes more power.

Some words about the GTX970 on SLI,
Until now, I see relative 0 problem with 2x GTX970s on SLI regarding the stuttering, etc. but my previous experiences with SLI still said that the usual SLI issues could still exist.
GTX970's 3.5GB VRAM could be a big problem if you plan to play on resolution higher than 1440p e.g. 4k.
Remember 2x3.5GB VRAM on SLI is 3.5GB VRAM and not 7GB VRAM.

If you have already a GTX970, getting another one is the best solution. This is easy to decide.
Personally, I am considering to get a second GTX970 for me.

If you do not have a GPU yet, well, you must decide either 2xGTX970s or a single GTX980Ti.
I would prefer getting a single GTX980Ti.

Yeah...i dont have any gpu right now ....i planning to play on 1440p 60hz.... And i have EVGA B2 750w PSU.....price is almost same in my country....so for shutter-free 1440p gaming (when limitation for 750w PSU) .....2x970 or 1x980ti

Okay...really thank for pretty much information about these 2 options....budged is not problem for me....i think a go for single 980ti....mainly because it has 6 gb VRAM......when is see Shado of Mordor 6gb VRAM usage on ultra textures....i think 6 gb woulb be more than enought for at least 3 years....thank a lot :)

EDIT.: And.....when 750w is enought for 2x970....its is enought even for 980ti right? 😀 i can also post here mine build so you can tell me if 750w is enough ?

Tomshardware is great...They come with benched charts for about everything under the electronic sun. If you are going to mess with SLI you will have issues guaranteed. If you want a single card with alot of power the AMD R9 295 pulls it weight in every aspect and is cheaper than both the Nvidia cards. Although there is minor driver issues but about 99% off the people that own one says they like or love this card. Food for thought. Check out Toms charts and see for yourself. I myself have 2 GTX 770`s in SLI and I get very nice frame rates when I am not having issues with nvidia`s newest drivers...They all have issues but if I had it to do again one card for me no matter which one you buy. If you want headaches and decent frame rates go SLI, but as stated you better have a good power supply and a boat load of patience.

Looks like you've decided on the 980 Ti, but on a related note, you said you were gonna get a 4690K or a 4790K. If you're just gaming, go with the 4690K. You'll see no benefits from hyperthreading on the 4790K, and it just isn't worth the extra $100. If you do stuff that involved cpu work, then go ahead and get it, but the 4690K will suit all your gaming needs. Plus it overclocks like a beast, mine is at 4.4Ghz very stable(& i have it at 4.5Ghz when it isn't summertime), and there are plenty of people who've gotten it to 4.7+ stable.
