GTX 970 And 500w Lifespan

So, I am wondering. I really am trying to figure out something, last christmas I got a 750 ti and a 500w. The 750 ti is falling down in stats and I want some more power for a while, and wonder how long a 500w will last with a 970.

That CX500 isn't very good in terms of quality , the new CXM 550w is very good it's the silver and black units.

Yours should be fine running the 970.
