I want to know if they are compatible and i cant get a reply from EVGA.
I do know that there has not been a BIOS update for my mobo in 3 years.
I've spent some time searching and I can't find any examples of anyone running a 970 on any p55 board. Can anyone help me out?

Yes it should be compatible. And if it is not, then an update may be required.

So you mentioned that you have not received a BIOS upfpdate for 3 years? And if not, then maybe just try the graphics card, and if it doesn't work you may need to upgrade the motherboard.

You need to list the specific model of your motherboard.

Chances are if it has a pcie x16 slot it will work.

Most issues come down to the power supply not having enough amps on the 12+ rail, or the mobo having locked bios from a pre-built company.

Cpu is core i5 760 OC to 3.9 and i will go to 4.4 if i get a better cooler. Im currently GPu bottelnecked. I have read that sometimes new gen of GPU require some MOBO to need a new BIOS. This is my question. I know my psu can run it and everything else. Just EVGA wont respond and it pissing me off. I dont want to get this card to find out that EVGA will never put out a Bios for my p55.

MOBO is EVGA P55 sli. I put it in the topic header.
And i dont care that it will be slightly bottlenecked, Until my mobo or CPU blows up i wont be upgrading anything for at least a year or so.
