GTX 970 and overclocked i5 3570k

I have both of these in factory settings at the moment, but if i overclock my CPU to something like 4.2GHz will it create a bottleneck?

My GPU is GTX 970 Herculez X2 Version, CPU i5 3570k.

Your CPU wont even bottleneck at stock clockrate. But 4.2Ghz still is a nice OC bonus.

A late question My PSU is cx500, can i still overclock my CPU? or do i need more watts?

That's a fairly low quality power supply.
You have plenty of watts. If you don't have a decent aftermarket cooler then don't overclock if you have one then 4.2 is fairly low and should take just a little power boost.

How much higher i can go when overclocking my CPU so it would still be safe if i had a new better psu? What PSU you would recommend if i need to buy a new one? My watt usage:

CPU: I5 3570K s1155 with CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: GTX 970 Herculez 4GB (X2 Version)
Motherboard: z75 Pro3 s1155
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX 4GB 1600MHz DDR3
HDD: WD Caviar GP/1TB SATA 3 64mb
then i have a LG DVD+-R/RW/DL/RAM, one case fan and some leds with it.

PSU: Corsair CXV2 500W ATX12V2.3 80+

Their no number I can give you as every processor is different in the amount of power increase it takes to reach a certain overclock.
With your cooler 4.4 should be doable.
Your motherboard is not very good for overclocking, poor power delivery I would go for 4.2 and call it a day.
Your not going to be bottlenecking with that processor and video card.
If I was buying a new PSU I would get a good one that will allow for another future upgrade
