So im planning on getting a i5 4690k and i hope to overclock a bit. Rn i have a gtx 970 . Would my Evga 550 watt psu br enought for that cpu?

Solution

Yes. It will be enough for overclocking too. EVGA only suggests a 500W which is what I purchased https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H33SFJU/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza and even with minor overclocking it's perfectly stable. I will be overclocking it to higher levels within the next week. It's not necessary at this point. Simple curiosity drives me. I chose the 970 FTW from EVGA.

550W EVGA 80+ Bronze with a i5 4690k & GTX 970 should suffice. Very similar specs as I have. :)
What is it coming stock clocked at and how much do you plan on overclocking it?
