So I'm building a gaming computer and the GPU I want in it is a 970. I'm also looking on a i5 5690k CPU and I will most likely overclock it. The overall budget is about $1200 but I can cross it if I need to.I want a quiet stable build that will last me a couple of years.

why are you adamant on the 970? you might get away with a more powerful GPU/CPU within that budget depending on how you answer the next question.

do you need a monitor, kb, mouse, os, etc. within the $1200 budget?

In Sweden the 980 is almost twice as expensive as the 970. I play on a 1080p screen anyway so it should be enough.
