GTX 970 compatibility with Asus P7H55-M

Hey guys, I'm planning to get the 970 Jetstream tomorrow but the pc I have right now is quite dated. I'm upgrading from the GTS 250.

Before I buy the card I just want to make sure that I won't be wasting money with compatibility issues. Here is my Build right now:

Will the 970 be compatible with this build? Or is there a chance that the 970 wont be recognized due to the BIOS being quite old(2011 last update)?

Should work just fine. I recommend updating your motherboard to the newest bios first.

if that corsair psu is as old as the rest of the components you should look to upgrade that too.

I got the PSU just last year so its not as old as the rest of my parts.

EDIT: I found a Fire Strike result that's using a Zotac 970 and a P7H55-M so I guess that's proof its compatible right?

it's compatible, no problem, just update the bios before like suggested above. my concern with the psu is that old corsair (vs / cx) psu-s don't handle big power loads too well.
