Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading my GPU to GTX 970 to have better gaming experience at a reasonable price, but not sure if my PSU is enough to handle it or not. Here is my current specs:
- CPU: Core i7-3770 3.4GHz
- Mobo: MSI Z77-GD55
- RAM: 2x8GB G.SKILL DDR3 1600MHz
- GPU: Asus GTX 950 2GB
- SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
- HDD: WD Green 2TB
- PSU: Huntkey GS500 80Plus

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

* buy GTX 1060 6GB
* buy Seasonic S1211 520

* sell Asus GTX 950

If you sell your GTX 950, you'll earn about $110 on Ebay.
Instead of the GTX 970, upgrade your budget by $60 to get the GTX 1060 6GB (not 3 GB). I'm not familiar with your power supply but I assume it's low quality. Upgrade to a Seasonic S1211 520 for $55.

Another option is to stick with your current power supply, sell the GTX 950. The proceeds, plus your $200 budget, plus another $100 would yield you a GTX 1070. Don't go below purchasing a GTX 1060 6GB. You don't want to start the year 2017 with a GPU with 3.5 GB.
