Hi,
While in any intensive game, lines appear on my screen as well as my screen going completely black for 1-2 seconds at a time. I checked my GPU and the fan wasn't actually on. After switching to manual control, I manage to get it on. Since then I haven't seemed to have any more problems, however I can hear a crackling coming from my PC. Not sure if it's the GPU or not but I've never heard it before. Tested on many games and I keep getting the line thing. The only game I've tested manual fan control on was Rust and it seemed to fix it for a bit. Didn't test it for long.

*UPDATE*
So I left the fan on auto. When I start playing a game, the fan still doesn't turn on and I start to hear the crackling. I believe it's because of the temp so high?

I understand what you're saying, but why does my screen flicker and have lines on it in game? Do you think it could possibly be a faulty GPU?
This is MSI afterburner (How i turn the fan on)

on the MSI afterburner, you can controll the fan manually. on the menu you just posted, on the "Fan speed" option there, you have to take it out of auto (just click the bar). then put the bar on 100%. then press the "check" symbol below, to apply changes.

Also, I think the Asus STRIX is the only that turns the fans off below 65ºC, so you could have a problem of fans (or even faulty GPU) on your hands mate.... 🙁

but try the option of the manual fans and then come back.

(btw, is the GPU new, or was it bought used?)

Hi,
I bought the GPU new along with all the other parts. Never had a problem as such. However, recently to fix my skype I uninstalled GeoForce Experience, and ever since then the problem has occurred. Maybe that is the problem?

Hi I tried what you said, and unfortunately is hasn't made a difference. I Believe the problem in not the fan, but something other physically related.

Ok so good and bad news. I found the problem and it's actually not with my graphics card. It's my PSU. Whoever said something about not enough power, they were right. It's making a crackle noise and after some research it seems that means it's broken. Thanks for all the help anyway.
