gtx 970 for 17 inch screen

HI i want to know if the fx 8350 and gtx 970 is good for a 17 inch screen or its an overkill.

Resolution is what matters not screen size.

If It's 1080p It's close to overkill but It's not.

leave the screen size
1080- good for 2-3 years
1440- dont think of highest fps
4k- that card lags heavily in 4k..

but i havent seen a 17 inch monitor with 1440 or 4k
so that must be 1080 or 768..
in either case .. that combo must fly above 60fps with ease

i can't reach 1080,the max resolution in game setting is 1280*1024

Maybe you should get a GTX 750 Ti for that resolution.

GTX 970 is good for 1920x1080 / 2560x1440 but too good for 1028x1024.

i have brought it before but get rid of it later since it can't run big games such as (AC unity,BF4...) on max setting on 30 fps.

How does your system look like? Which CPU, RAM, power supply etc.
