GTX 970 G1 reseting to default clocks

My card keeps reseting to default clocks even though it never really gets taxed during games. It will run fine in Heaven and Firestrike, scoring 10280 points, but when I play a game thats super easy to run ie Warframe/war Thunder, it resets to default clock speeds and kicks me out of the game. It just started to do so when I updated all of my drivers and software. Thoughts.

NVIDIA has begun shipping new GTX9xxM cards with a vBIOS that blocks core overclocking!
Looks like OC will soon be a thing from the past regardless of the driver used:

He has a GTX 970 not a mobile part. Nvidia only disabled overclocking for laptops and after customer outcry they have re enabled it for some parts.

I have tried both Asus Tweak and the Gigabyte tuner. I like the Asus setup better but its still dropping back down to the stock clocks on the gpu and memory even if its not really taxing itself terribly hard. But if you run it through Firestrike it performs flawlessly and is incredibly fast.
