I have a GTX 970 that used to perform well even in 1440p on high (above 60fps in every game) but now I'm getting 30 fps even in 1080p on medium in For Honor. On low in 1080p in For Honor I get around fps. I get around 20 fps in Total War Warhammer. It seems like it's been getting worse and worse since I got it, I could play Bioshock Infinite in 4K on high or ultra originally.
Today I opened it up and I'm pretty sure I cleared out all the dust, there was some but didn't seem like a lot to me. I did DDU and got the most up to date driver and don't have GeForce experience. I have it set to maximum performance instead of power efficient in GeForce control panel. I haven't overclocked it but I tried today and got no real changes. Those were all the things I found online.
I have a XFX 850W power supply, i7 5820K, 2x 8gb ddr4 ram, asus x99 pro mobo, and a 500gb ssd.
I appreciate any advice or help.
