Okay, so I recently upgraded my pc and since I've put a 970 into it, i've had constant issues where my monitor will randomly shut off in the middle of the game, or at some points even start up. Games that have had this issue occur so far are Rocket League and League of Legends. I figured it was a GPU issue, so I RMA'd it, got a new one in today and am still having the same issues. This is only happening when I put the 970 into the comp. My mobo has integrated graphics and was playing both of these games prior on it to test it for about a week while rma was processing and had 0 issues occur where monitor randomly turns off. Happens anywhere from within 1 min-1hr. Prior to sending 1st 970 for an RMA, did bench tests and it would have the same issue after around 15-20min depending on the program. Did the bench tests on a buddies steam account with programs he had, can get info from those if needed.
Current build for pc is as follows:
GPU: Asus Gtx 970 Strix
Processor: Intel i5 4690k - Devil's canyon
Mobo: Asus z87 plus lga 1150
Ram: G. Skill Ripjaw X series DDR3 (2x 4gb) & Corsair Vengeance DDR3 (2x 4gb)
PSU: Evga 750W B2
Extra info:
OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit
Monitor: AOC from around 2008, dont know exact model.
Nvidia driver version: 361.43
Main reason from me thinking its a monitor issue alone is the fact that it works without the 970 in comp, but could also see it some how being a compatibility issue with an older monitor with a 970. Any help is greatly appreciated.
