GTX 970 Issues (Perhaps?)

So I installed my graphics card (Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce) into my build, disabled the intel HD graphics and thought it was going good as the LED display was working. But when I tried to play some games, the frame rate wasn't as impressive as I thought it should be. So I downloaded GPU-Z to test the usage to see if it was working, but saw some interesting specs...

Case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker
CPU: Intel I7 4790k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970
RAM: 8GB GSkill
OS and Game Drive: 240GB Samsung SSD
HDD: 1TB Seagate HDD
PSU: Corsair 650W

it would help if you used a recent version of gpuz you have 0.3.8

its at 0.8.2 or something now--thats why it cant read your card properly
