GTX 970 Lag, PLEASE HELP

I have recently received the Geforce GTX 970, and in ArcheAge, while using the recommended settings from the NVIDIA GeForce Experience App, I get good FPS but it drops every few seconds, please help. These are my specs.

16 GB Ram
Geforce GTX 970
Intel Core i5-2500k @3.30GHz
64 Bit Windows 7 Professional

Recommended settings are fine and all, but every PC is different in it's own way. Go through your game settings and experiment with different configurations. I'd recommend altering the Anti aliasing and any supersampling settings, if there are any.

If it's a MMORPG, your internet connection or game server can also affect performance.

How far does your FPS drop?

I would also check your GPU/CPU temps to see if they are getting to high.

From there I would look into possibly overclocking that 2500k; I'm still running one as well that is OC'd to 4.3GHz and it chews threw games still. If the 2500k isn't overclocked at all, I could see it causing a slight bottleneck for the 970. You should be able to overclock it to 4.0GHz veryyy easily.

How far does your FPS drop?

I have a 85mbps download and upload speed so that would not affect my performance.
My frame rate is usually around 55-60, but when I walk, turn my character, or jump, it usually drops to around 45, and sometimes 30.

My temps are normal, other games are fine, I can play Far Cry 4 at max settings fine, just this game.
