Just upgraded my GPU From a GTX 750ti to a GTX 970 FTW.

I usually use my TV as a Monitor. But now i need the best monitor that will give my GTX 970 a run for its money. I don not Play competitive games like CS.GO or COD Online. I usually play games like Fallout, Assassins Creed, Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age etc...

I have these 3 Monitor in mind.

BenQ XL2720 1080p 144HZ- (not sure if GTX 970 will allow me to run games at fps which will make this worth it)

BenQ GW2765HT 1440p 60HZ- (Seems like the best value for money But i'm not sure if it is good for gaming + many reviewers complaining about Backligth Bleeding, i will be Importing it from the US and will be very difficult and expansive to ship back for replacement)

Lastly BenQ RL2755HM 1080p 60HZ (This one will save me loads of cash, But if it will bottleneck my GTX970 then i will not buy it)

Thank you. Will really appreciate your help.. :)

Skip the benq stuff, I have had nothing but problems with them.

The ASUS VG248QE would be a good choice for 1080p (run almost all games on max settings), and it gives you the option to run games in 3D to boot (you'll need the glasses though). Best part is that if you later want to upgrade it to g-sync, there's a Nvidia certified mod for it.

AOC G2460PG and Acer XB240H are also good low budget G-Sync monitors you can check out.

i own a vg248qe and i hate it. no matter how well i calibrate it it looks washed out. ive owned 3 of them. returned 2 and got a pg278q.

for a 970 and i recommend:
1080p
gsync
60hz
1-3ms
3d (if your into that)

Acer XB240H 24" is a good one and they do make the 27" version XB270H

That's the GSYNC mentioned above, and while GSYNC is truly incredible $400USD is still a lot of money to pay for that (though it is up to 144Hz). If you sit fairly close to the monitor the 24" may be good enough but for me 27" is my minimum now.

*My choice:
Assuming an upper budget of $400USD based on your first monitor listed I'd go with THIS:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-pb278q

I've got a similar monitor (2560x1440, IPS, 60Hz) and love it. I'd take the high res, IPS screen over a lower-res, TN panel with GSYNC any day.

Any game with smaller text for example benefits a lot from a higher res, and of course your regular desktop (set DPI scaling to at least 125% and zoom web pages with default settings and CTRL+scroll).

For the vg248qe , install the monitor into Windows. Then download the color profile and install according to the instructions. Then set the brightness to around 30%.

My picture is every bit as good as my plasma HDTV.

The Asus VG248QE is quite good if you set it up right. The problem is that it is by far the brightest monitor I've seen. You literally have to turn the brightness down to about 30%. It is 144Hz and 3D.

My other recommendation would be one of the 27 inch 2560x1440, IPS monitors. The GTX 970 is a great graphics card for either.

Hi Everyone. Thank you for all your suggestions. Apologies for not stating that i would like a 27" monitor. I am Using a 32" 720p TV as a Monitor so a 27"
1080p will not be a pixel prob. I think i will be able to calibrate a monitor. what is the VG248QE 27" version, anyone got experience with ASUS VG278HE http://www.amazon.com/VG278HE-1920x1080-Ergonomic-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B00906HM6K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449730673&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+27+monitor+144hz ?

Think i will have to decide which one is best based on majority answer. So many mix reviews.

Hi Mate. Thank you for the advice. The Asus you posted is slightly over my budget from where i'm buyin (Dubai & shipping it to my country). It seems to have the same spec as the BenQ GW2765HT. Would this be a good alternative for it? or should i stick with the Asus?

Nice one. But way out of my Budget. Thanks

I would say that is the 27" successor to the VG248QE. It is 144Hz and 3D, It is improved though to include better resolution at 2560 x1440 and G-SYNC..Wouldn't it look so nice on your desk? It is only $699.99 on sale!

But this webpage has the entire list of Asus Gaming and 3D monitors.

So you can pick your poison on your budget,

thats the successor to the pg278q, not the vg248qe.
