gtx 970 no display.

I Built my new pc today and having trouble getting display from my gtx 970.
ive tried 3 different pcie slots cant install drivers cause pc will not detect gpu. The card spins up fine and the vram gest warm. The onboard works i went turned onboard off still nothing im hoping in the morning when i get off work i can do a bios update and maybe fix it. all the ram works and is detected. so any ideas would a great help thank you.

Is there any other monitors windows says there is but not there set up? i had this problem

i havent ckecd for that i know in system manager it detects all 4 of my pcie slots but not the gpu. and are you talking about going in to windows display settings like where the resolution is or something else. and thanks for te reply

Switched cards with friend his worked in mine but the 970 didn't work in his either so pretty sure its dead good reason to just get a 980 lol
