Hello all,

I have a fairly nice gaming setup, gtx 970, i5 and 8gb of ram. I run my OS off of a SSD with a 2TB hard drive for games and storage. Currently I cant play GTAV without sever studdering. It carries over into allot of my other games and it makes it nearly unplayable at times and others the bad performance is only a less then desirable frame rate. I did a clean wipe of the main drive thinking it might be a virus or something bud still no luck. I once had a gtx980 and the studdering was still a problem then. I dont know what to do at this point because I really just want a stable frame rate for the 150+ steam games i own but cannot use properly.

Bear with me please, but we need more info regarding your problem so we can help you out...

1 - Do please provide full Specs (CPU I5 what? Model? Clock? Overclocked?, RAM brand? Motherboard? What is your PSU?

2 - What are your temps ingame, do you know how to monitor them? Could you post both CPU and GPU temps while gaming?

3 - You say "studdering" you mean stuttering right? What is your current framerate right now? What exactly is the desirable framerate you wish to achieve?

4 - Are you using any Vsync options on your game?

5 - Why would you go with a 970 over a 980? Did your 980 "died"?

Please help us understanding your issues better :)
