gtx 970 not sending signal to monitor

Hi, I just recieved my new 970 in the mail today and installed it. After installing the new drivers I plugged the HDMI from the monitor into the 970 and it worked fine. After about a half hour my computer just crashed and I could no longer get the signal from the GPU. In the device manager it is working just fine but I just can't use it as my display adapter. Would appreciate help.

Things I will try:
uninstall>re-install drivers
unplug>replug power
Have heard something to do with the BIOS, but have not done it before.

Mind telling us how you fixed it? I'm having the same issue.

I just unplugged everything, re-seated everything and just kept trying to boot it up, it eventually just started working. Not really sure how it started working again, but it hasn't hitched since.
