GTX 970 on 60HZ Monitor?

I just got my new rig with a bunch of badass stuff in it. The main piece of equipment is my new Galax GTX 970. I need to buy a new monitor because my old monitor is dying fast. Is a 60HZ monitor compatible with the 970. If not can you suggest other budget monitors under 300$ AU (251 USD).

Yes the 60hz monitor will be just fine however make sure that the ports match, Basically if your 970 has hdmi, and display port. You should be fine.

Yep! A 60Hz monitor would be great for your card. Hell, you might even get away with 120Hz. Definitely look for an ASUS monitor, something between 23-25" for an optimal 1080p experience. Good luck and happy hunting!
