GTX 970 on HP Phoenix H9-1190ez not booting

I wanted to upgrade my HD 7950 to a EVGA GTX 970 but the PC is not booting after installing it (physically). BIOS splash screen appears for a long time, after that a single beep. After some seconds another single beep and a black screen with a blinking underscore appears.

There seems no BIOS update available (can't find one). Has anybody similar experiences? I'm really desperate... Any ideas?

Found a BIOS update on HP website by looking for win8 software. Don't know why they show BIOS updates OS specific. Well, at least it's working now!
