Im upgrading my graphics in my pc and i was wondering what would be better.
My mobo supports crossfire but it runs one at pci 3.0 x16 and the other pci 2.0 x4.
I read that this would create a performance drop but is it still worth it to get the 2 R9 380s?
If it is too much of a drop then i am going to get a GTX 970.

Specs: i5-4690k
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer
8GB 2400 G.Skill Sniper
750w Corsair psu

Solution
no, get the 970. 2 r9 380's may get you more total fps, but low-fps dips will be a problem compared to a 970. Also if a game has poor scaling/support for dual cards you can be back to the performance of only one card. Only use sli/crossfire when one single card doesn't have enough power for your needs.

I think it would be better to go with the gtx 970. It's always better to have a good card instead of having 2 bad cards, and if the gtx 970 is getting old, you can always buy another one ( if your motherboard supports SLI)
