Hi, I'm looking get a graphics cards for around 350-450 bucks. Right now, I'm currently torn between the GTX 970 or the 760x2. The 760x2 is a dual graphics card using two GTX 760's. I don't care about the power efficiency/price. I'm also thinking of a 780 ti, since it's gotten cheaper as it has been discontinued.

Here is the 760x2:

Here is the 780 ti:

Thanks for the feedback!

I'd only get the two 760's if you have one already. The 970 is pretty close in performance to the two 760's. The 780Ti would give you the most performance out of the three setups you listed.

By GTX 760x2, I mean the two chips in one card. An example of this would be the R9 295x2, which has two R9 290x chips in one card. The 760x2 also has 4gb VRAM.

lol totally false. Buy the gtx 970. dual gpu cards are worthless...
MARS 760 is dual gpu 2 gb vram usable...
GTX 970 is 3,5gb vram usable 1 gpu and same performance..... nothing more to say: buy the 970 , don't waste your money on shit cards like the MARS 760

point 1:
I'm saying to OP that he should try to save himself from the headache what SLI in general ( including 2 gpu cards) cause.
some fast examples: screen flickering, stuttering, bad( or non existing) sli profiles
point 2:
vram does not stack on dual gpu cards( each gpu needs to get it's frambuffer loaded up with the textures to render them. this means the 2 gpu cards advertised with 4 gb vram means 2 gb vram usable.
Today all modern AAA games use at least 3 - 3,5 and even 4gb vram( yes even on 1080p)
Regarding this i'm telling him to forget about dual gpu cards, and buy the 970.

And yes maybe my previous post was a little f_cked up, sorry for that i wrote it on my smartphone and i didn't mean to be harsh

The 780ti may be better in terms of raw performance( process power) with like 3%-5% but actually the 970 is a newer technology with a lot of benefits, for example the power draw. And actually that 0.5gb vram comes at hand when you want to max games.
