gtx 970 or r9 290 ?

i am thinking to ugrade my gpu and i am between these gpus which i must take ?

970 all the way. direct x 12 and beats 290 in performance. Newer tech wins!

I bought an r9 290 two weeks before the 9xx series came out. I've had nothing but issues with it, bluescreens in youtube videos, lower than expected FPS, ect. I'm actually trying to get a refund to buy a 970 right now. =/

My vote goes to the 970, what a beast of a card and a GREAT overclocker, great isn't even enough. Go with the 970 and don't ever worry that you made a wrong choice
