Question GTX 970 or R9 390?

Hello guys, im going to buy a used graphics card, its the gtx 970 strix from asus or the R9 390 strix from asus as well, whats your opinion? i most state that the gtx 970 its a little cheaper but i cant decide which one to buy, i have seen benchmarks but still i can get to decide. I wont be doing any OC to any of them so please tell me whats your opinion

They trade blows depending on the game although I'd get the 390 for the increased vram and as long as you have a sufficient PSU.

Get the R9 390. It is having 8GB of VRAM as well, though the R9 trades blows with the GTX 970

The R9 390 is the better choice, 8GB of VRAM for modern titles is going to serve you well compared to the 3.5GB on the GTX 970.

I also recommend the R9 390.. But.... Why not go for an RX 570 or RX 580 instead? Those can also be found quite cheap 2nd hand.
