Gtx 970 or radeon r9 290x

If it helps, my mobo only supports crossfire and not sli, so amd could be better. My budget is $370

Since your PSU won't be enough to power two R9 290x i'd say go with the GTX 970.

What about this Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 4GB GDDR5 DUAL DVI-D/HDMI/DP PCI-Express BF4 Edition Graphics Card (21226-00-53G).. I can get it for $288 dollars.

Thats a good card. Either will be fine, performance is about the same between both cards.
