GTX 970 PC Power Requirements

I was thinking about getting a GTX 970 and installing it on my computer, but I'm not sure what kind of power supply I would need. Yes, my PC is a pre-built because it was a present from my step-dad and at the time I was oblivious to how a computer operates. 300w unfortunately won't cut it - especially given that it's an OEM PSU which aren't generally of good quality. I wouldn't recommend going with anything above a 750ti unless you upgrade your PSU.

You could probably get away with a 500w PSU but I'd rather play it safe.

Wait that's not what I meant. I was asking what power supply I should get for my PC. The PSU you linked me is funny enough the one I was looking to buy today but I wasn't sure. So do you think that I should get the Corsair power supply? I don't want to overclock anything; I just want a 970 that will do the job and be good quality too. Thank you for your help!

Yeah, the PSU I linked you would do the job. As far as a particular brand of 970s, if you won't be overclocking then if one brand is significantly cheaper than another, go for the cheaper option.

The only difference between the two is a slightly higher factory overclock on my card - you said you didn't want to do any overclocking so my card would provide a small bump in performance over the card you linked. Whether that bump is worth $10 is up to you, considering it'd probably be a pretty small increase.
