GTX 970 possible bottle becking?

As you read the title, that is why I am here. I am in the process of wanting to upgrade my GPU for a GTX 970.

Here are my current specs:

MOBO: GA-78LMT-USB3
CPU: Fx-8320 8-core 3.5GHz
RAM: 6GB 1600MHz CL11 (16GB, 1600mhz, CL9 ordered today and on the way)
GPU: AMD Radeon 7750
HDD: 500GB
PSU: Corsair CX 500 watt 80+ Bronze

My friend believes that my CPU will bottleneck a GTX 970 and force me to have to upgrade my CPU, particularly choosing and i5 or similar. Any thoughts?

nope, you will be fine. There shouldn't be a bottleneck.

However, some of your other computer specs should be upgraded, like the RAM and power supply.

your cpu is perfectly fine, there wont be any bottleneck. like Tech said though, you could probably think of getting a new psu
