Hey i got a GTX 970 g1 gaming, i wanna know if with all the rumors about dx 12 hybrid sli it will make possible to do a sli with the 1070 and a 970 or should i sell my 970 and get one 1070? Sorry bad english. Thanks!

Not SLI no.

There may be certain DX12 games that will allow rendering to happen on both GPUS, no matter the make and model, like Ashes of the Singularity. But for the most part you would be limited to the performance of one card.

I would sell the 970 for the 1070 or 1080 if you can afford it with the sale of the 970.

Have you used it?

That and HyperSLI have been around for a while. Im not sure I would recommend it unless you want to spend a lot of time trying to get it working, you will also have unpredictable results in different games/apps.

Yes I have used it successfully on Maxwell, Kepler and some other older Nvidia cards. And if it's any help (without giving away too much), I am the publicist for the tool written by Anatomylik and then revised and continued on by Ember at TechPowerUp.

I did infer that it may or may not work with the new Pascal because they are different architectures on paper, however we have had some success reported by users and feedback indicating they managed to SLI cross generation/tech.

The instructions are straight forward, there's no weird hacking or programming required and it's compatibility with software is irrelevant. The software isn't any the wiser - all it sees are display adapters, whether they are the same or different.

There's zero risk that it will hurt any thing - it's easier than overclocking your graphics card in some ways.

Ya, if you have compatible cards.
Install the driver, run the script, reboot and voila.

There are cases where you get odd blue screens, though we think most of that is driver related.
