[SOLVED] GTX 970 power

I bought a GTX 970 for my friends pc, im gonna use a EVGA 500 W psu i have already but it has one cable for graphics cards with two connectors, both are 6x2 and the GPU requires 2 6 pin connectors, am i ok powering it with the same cable for both connectors? PC Part picker says its fine but im not sure
