GTX 970 Problems

So my graphics card recently stopped working and I decided to get a good one this time. I got the GTX 970 and for like a day it was working okay, but now I'm getting a lot of performance issues. I get a lot of lag and it doesn't matter what the graphic settings are on. I can't think of anything that may caused this except maybe somehow my CPU isn't good enough for the graphics card.

GTX 970
8g RAM
Seagate Hybrid Drive 1TB SSHD
EVGA BRONZE 750W PSu

Yes I did and I also deleted the old one.
EDIT: Turns out I downloaded wrong driver, thanks!
