GTX 970 sc display

I am currently running a GTX 970sc and looking to upgrade my monitor. The games I have been playing Im getting around 120-180fps, is a Gsync monitor worth it with this card? I will upgrade my GPU eventually but looking for a 144hz display that will cooperate with my 970 for now, Im wondering if I will have any screen tearing/stuttering issues with a 144hz non gsync monitor if my frames drop below 144.

What games are you playing to get those frame rates?

I have a 970 and just upgraded to a 144hz monitor and it fixed all of my issues, including tearing, which is basically non existent on the screen at above 90fps. G-Sync is great but it depends what you play.

Now I’m mainly playing fortnite, my frames can drop to 110 so wondering if that will have any affect with a 144hz monitor. Im looking at asus/benq and lg 144 1080p displays. open to any suggestions.

Honestly running from 80-160fps on game feels multiples smoother on a 144hz, I don't think you will have many problems in that regard, since the monitor is able to display all of those frames.
