Hey guys I'm going to be buying two Msi gtx 970s. From what I can tell they don't come with a sli bridge and I don't know if or where the sli bridge that came with my motherboard. I've never done a sli setup before so I don't know anything about sli bridges. Are they universal or do I need a specific kind? If I need a special kind then what would I need? Thanks!

i dont think hes going to put the gpus in the first and third slot but you can buy a extra long bridge but the end slot might be extra slow so always go first and second

Im not sure if my motherboard came with one or not but if it did I have no idea where it would be. My motherboard is a msi z87-g45. It does support sli so Im not sure what bridge/cable to get.

Im pretty sure my gpus would have to go in the first and second slot but that still leaves me the question what sli bridge/cable to get.

Unfortunately, your motherboard happens to not give you a SLI bridge. I think most MSI motherboards don't give you SLI bridges.
You have to get them yourself. Any 80mm SLI bridge should be fine.
