I am planning to SLI my Nvidia (ref cooler for both) which requires 4 6pin connectors but my GS700 watt power supply only has 2 6 pin connectors, I cant seem to find a decent power supply with that many 6 pin connectors, a also can easily get a RM750 for free but I dont think that has enough 6 pins anyways.. Will a RM750 work? Should I buy 2 molex to 6pin adapter cables?

Solution
The molex to 6 pin cables shouldn't really ever be used. They can definitely work but often aren't wired internally on the PSU to handle such high loads.

From what I understand, your GS700 has (2) 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors.
You should be able to use an 8-pin to (2) 6-pin adapter for each card on your current GS700. That maintains wattage since the 8-pin can supply 150 watts and the 6-pins are specified at 75 watts.

The RM750 has 4 PCIe power connectors, so that's a viable non-adapter solution too.

Do I need to buy extra modular cables? From what ive seen in pics it only comes with two PCIe connector cables
