No its not, you probably wont have to use more RAM than you get offered. The 970 SLI is very good

970 sli is fine in termsf raw power and vram for a long while. DX12 may be at stacking ram as well. Here is the link!!!

At the current time, SLI makes the effects of the vram issue some 15% worse. Only if you actually reach that cap.
Shadow of Mordor HD content is one of a few games it will struggle with at 1080p.

However it *might* get fixed by dx12, but obviously, that wont effect older games.
Its great value, just bear in mind the limitations.
