Question GTX 970 stops displaying after a few minutes under load, need help

So I got a Palit GTX 970, the one with the blower, and I decided to try out Metro Exodus. Only like 3 minutes in, the gpu stopped displaying, but everything kept working. After that I decided to run Heaven Benchmark, same thing. Updated DirectX and I managed to get it working for like 4-5 minutes in Heaven, then same story. Really need help. It's a brand new build except the gpu which is secondhand. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ddr4 @3000mhz, asrock b450 pro4, 650w seasonic focus plus.
