GTX 970 Temperatures

So I finally upgraded my GPU! I was just wondering if the temp I'm getting are okay.

Idle: 40c-43c
Load: 70c-75c

I'm also wondering if upgrading to a better PC case would make a difference on my temps? I know I can always customize my fans speeds, but I usually like to have it on default. I've heard some people getting around 28c on idle. Is it because they are in a colder environment?

Yes it is normal. Your pc may have an application that is utilising your GTX 970 even at "idle" hence the higher idle temps with the default fan profile.
Load temps are fine. Ambient temperature has a play in temperature as well.

I figured that would be the case. Just making sure since I haven't gotten a new video card in forever. Wanted to make sure it was running well

And I have noticed that during the day it stays idle at around the lower 40's but at night when its nice and cool it goes down to 36c. I'm guessing the guys that go down to 28c live in Alaska or something huh lol
