Hey guys, I'm kind of torn, my reference 970 is pretty loud, can't keep up with a minimal OC, so I'd like to upgrade to a 1070, but which one?

I'm interested in the MSI Armor or the EVGA SC, my aim is basically not reaching 85°C anymore and keeping it as silent as possible.

I got a Samsung 22" 1080p 75hz monitor, is the GTX 1070 able to max out games at 1440p because I'm thinking to switch to one?

The 1070 should handle most stuff at high settings 1440p 60fps perfectly fine, with a 1080 and 7700k I get average 80fps on TW3 maxed, so you're looking at 60fps high.
Budget all up for both monitor and GPU?
No the i5 will not bottleneck, especially if OC'd a bit more.

If I have to upgrade my CPU also, this will be freaking costly, CPU, Ram, Motherboard and a new cooler (if not compatible), so I prefer to upgrade when I feel it's necessary, if I can spare a few bucks, that's good as well.

I can't push the 4670k over the 4.4Ghz threshold unless I put the voltage at 1.3v, toasty at 80°C after 15min with Prime95, I got a Dark Rock Pro 2, beefy af for an air cooling system.

I got around 45fps with my 970 on Mass Effect Andromeda on ultra at 1080p, will I get 60fps on ultra at 1440p with a 1070?

Thanks btw.
