Hello,

At the moment of posting this, i have a ryzen 1400 rig with a gigabyte gtx 970 and I'm going to upgrade the GPU first. I was wondering if the 1070/1080 will end up bottlenecking. I will be upgrading the cpu later on to the 8 core variant of ryzen.

i still have the 1400 at stocks speed it hasn't failed me yet. And i have a msi micro atx b350 mobo. And i will be playing 1080p at the moment. Also how much can i sell my gtx 970 for? Im asking this since im selling one of my gaming rigs to help me get a 1070/1080. and ill end up selling that old rig with the 970 instead of the rx 550.

ah ok, the old rig is a fx 8320e, am3+ gigabyte mobo micro atx, 8gb of ddr3 ram, 550w cooler master psu, antec case, and the 970 on it. is $300+ a good asking price?

well the one i have is this one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/byp323/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970g1gaming4gd

That is one beefy 970 (a good thing for cooling & overclocking), if I was in the market for a GPU I'd probably offer you around $140 which I think is fair given that it's used.

ah ok, its been barely used honestly lmao, the previous owner had it only used it for simulators and never went about 60% of use, i have had it for like 5 months and i only play esports games such as csgo, r6, fortnite at all low settings
