GTX 970 Underperformance

How's it going guys, I recently purchased a GTX 970 and installed it, (myself btw) and it doesn't seem to be performing as it should. The CPU i have installed is an AMD FX 8320, I have 8gb of RAM, and I have huge frame issues on easy to run games, and I never seem to meet the benchmarks. Also heres a link to my 3Dmark Firestrike benchmark. Is it my CPU that's ruining my frames? Thanks guys!
