Whenever I play Fortnite or even Pubg I get 40-60 fps on the lobby screen. I know it sounds like I'm on Intel graphics but I opened up RivaTuner and Voila, 70% of my graphics card is being used and with 30-40% of my Cpu being used. I even reset my Nvidia control panel 3d application settings and even still that didn't work. I honestly don't know what to do anymore, can someone please help...? I played a game with this still happening and was noticing that the gpu was only using 30% while in game. I have no idea what is going on, nothing like this was happening yesterday. I also just wiped my ssd and still having the same exact problem, so it isn't an application thats managing this.

Specs: Gtx 970 x2 (Sli turned off b/c not supported by many games)
i7 4790k
16gb of ram
240gb SSD w/ the OS on it

I found it out, when my friend was helping me install the computer, he put the main monitor (the 144hz one) into the mobo and the second monitor into the graphics card, when he did this, the computer thought when I was playing games on my main one that I was actually just using windows, hence why the graphics card was barely working, so when I put them reversed, instantly went from 30-40 fps on lobby screenm to 100-110 fps on lobby screen. And apparently on my 144hz monitor since it was in the mobo, i was never actually playing on 144hz, so when I did that, I just have to say, ITS SO SMOOTH!

The presence of a secondary card can actually hinder performance while in games that do not support SLI. Not saying that's the problem outright, but it would be worth physically removing the secondary 970 to test.

People have reported Alt+Tabbing out/into the game to have some serious performance implications, alongside playing borderless windowed vs full-screen.

Is Fortnite the only problem title?

No, I actually tried Pubg too and still only 30-40 fps on lobby. Before I reset my ssd to see if that was the problem, I couldnt even test csgo because when I try to play the game it only works on intel graphics, I dont know why my graphics does not work with it.
