GTX 970 vs 980 main difference please?

What is the main difference between these cards that makes 980 cost $300~ more.

The Gtx 970 and has extremely good price quality compare it to an R9 290x in performance.
About the Gtx 980 I am less enthousiastic , it's still a good card but not as WOW as the Gtx 970.

Also I would say the Gtx 980 doesn't justify the higher price compared to the Gtx 970.
If you were looking to buy one I would recommend you the Gtx 970 best price quality in that range ATM.

i agree 100%. don't waste your time with the 980, get the 970.
